Calculus: The Musical! is a classic comic adventure through the peaks and troughs--and concepts and history--of Calculus. Ada Franklin, a modern math student, joins forces with Sir Isaac Newton himself in a buddy comedy for the ages--and along the way they discover more than just the rate of change and the area under the curve. Musical parodies introduce and illuminate concepts including the limit, the power rule, inflection points, and much much more.
Matheatre is an internationally touring company that uses live theatre to tell stories that inspire excitement about math and science, known to Phoenix audiences for Calculus: The Musical! and chemistry-themed musical Curie Me Away! Phoenix College has been hosting Matheatre for live annual events on campus for over a decade--and this year we're offering these experiences to your students virtually!
This showing is a coordinated live stream experience with live chat, real time reactions, and post-show QandA/talkback with the show creators. The video (filmed live at Phoenix College in 2020) runs one hour and is suitable for viewers who are taking, have taken, or plan to take Calculus.
A ticket order is needed to have access to this virtual event, which is free. If you are placing a ticket order on behalf of yourself and your class (or a group), please include an accurate count.
